چکیده
The seismic evaluation of existing buildings is a more troublesome assignment than the design new buildings. need for becomes necessary to know level structural damage and how cure it due earthquakes. shows structure’s behavior under loads determines ultimate capacity structure, there are several methods used in assessment analysis which may be static or dynamic. In this study, an educational building located Egypt has been evaluated load decide if retrofitting not. seismostruct program modeling analyzing three dimensional reinforced concrete (RC) with different stories; Ground +4 stories (G+4), +7 (G+7), +10 (G+10), +13 (G+13) RC zones; II, III, IV, zone V. Probabilstic Seismic Risk Evaluation of Rc Buildings
As more and more emphasis is being laid on non-linear analysis of RC framed structures subjected to earthquake excitation, the research and development on both non-linear static (pushover) analysis as well as nonlinear dynamic (time history)analysis is in the forefront. Due to prohibitive computational time and efforts required to perform a complete nonlinear dynamic analysis, researchers and d...
متن کاملSeismic Vulnerability Assessment of Existing Rc Buildings in Gis Environment
With rapid population growth over the past 30 years and no significance seismic activity during this period, the unchecked development of the built environment in Bangladesh has been resulted in little resilience to earthquake. Identifying buildings due to this unchecked development that has high vulnerability is of critical importance both for reliable loss estimation as a result of an expecte...
متن کاملPART 1: Evaluation of Maximum Drift Demand for Seismic Performance Assessment of RC Buildings
The main objective of this research project is to residual deformation and collapse mechanism of structural system and to assess the seismic demand of this system. In this study three major works are developed: a. Develop a physical-based inelastic hysteretic model which contains stiffness and strength degradation, pinching and residual deformation, b. Based on the proposed model the seismic de...
متن کاملEvaluation of seismic assessment procedures for determining deformation demands in RC wall buildings
This work evaluates the performance of a number of seismic assessment procedures when applied to a case study reinforced concrete (RC) wall building. The performance of each procedure is evaluated through its ability to accurately predict deformation demands, specifically, roof displacement, inter-storey drift ratio and wall curvatures are considered as the key engineering demand parameters. Th...
